But the dream of Bruce Meyers, its founder, only lasted until 1971, when he had to cease production after losing a lawsuit for claiming his patent. It is that they had copied his design so much that he decided to go to court to claim his idea. But because of those legal things, he lost and had to close his factory.

As he once said, it took him longer than necessary to calm the fury caused by hearing the word buggy. She had felt robbed for so long that only 30 years later he tried to revive her and came to build a version adapted to the new century, which was presented in 2014.

However, Mayers passed away a few months later to show the project and everything was archived until 2020. It was when Winnie Meyers, his 94-year-old widow, decided to sell the brand rights were bought by Trousdale Venturesa company that invests risk capital in products or companies with potential that may be attractive.

The vehicle will come fully assembled and will not be a kit car like its predecessor. Will have two electric motors located one in each of the rear wheels, which automatically makes it a rear-wheel drive car. The car is still very compact and therefore light with 680 kg for the first version and 750 kg for the second. In the case of the largest, Meyers assures that it will have 202 CV of power, 325 Nm of torque and therefore it will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds.

At the equipment level, you just have to say that it is a buggy. It has no doors or side windows, just an open area to slide into the cabin. The roof is removable but it is not retractable, so you have to decide if it is placed or not, before leaving the house.

It has a trunk in the rear, which is accessed by tilting the roof forward, but just as there are no doors, there is also no lock on the trunk. There is also a smaller capacity space in the front area, but the spare wheel, the hydraulic jack and a set of tools are stored there.

Manufacturers have reported that only 50 units will be produced throughout the year 2023, and that deliveries will begin to be effective with the beginning of 2024.
