According to the cultural director of the fair, Octavio Escobar, for the return to presence, after the last two years it was carried out virtually due to the confinements and sanitary restrictions that the covid-19 pandemic brought with it, there will be the largest publishing exhibition in recent years.

“We come from two virtual versions that allowed us to reach new audiences, in that sense the experience was very valuable, but we definitely have to return to face-to-face. We must also return to the Rogelio Salmona University Cultural Center, which is an architectural jewel, which houses the library of the University of Caldas and which will house during these days the largest editorial exhibition that we have had in all our versions of the Fair. We want readers to come back here. It is not only the books and the writers, it is also the fact of appropriating a space that should be the heritage and daily life of Manizales. That is why we are saying that CCU Rogelio Salmona is the place where words live,” Escobar told local media.

Among the international guests are Alfonso Cruz, Yolanda Regidor, Silvia Castillero Y Antonio Maria Florezand among the nationals, Pilar Quintana, Alonso Sánchez Baute, Triunfo Arciniegas, Gilmer Mesa Y Juliana Javierrewho together with the other guests at the thirteenth Manizales Book Fair will be presenting their books, as well as participating in dialogues and other activities that complete the fair’s programming.
