During an operation led by the Ministry of Security and Citizen Protection, police agents freed 22 migrants who were in a home in the Merced Balbuena neighborhood, in the mayor’s office Venustiano Carranza from Mexico City (CDMX).
Around midnight on August 10, the elements of the secretariat arrived at the building and coordinated the release of the migrants. So far, the authorities have not clarified whether they were deprived of libertybut they have already started with the investigations to determine their situation.
According to information provided by the Siade Group civil association, the group is made up of 10 adults and 12 minorswho were evaluated on the spot by medical personnel.
Likewise, the presence of personnel from the Migration’s national institute (INM) with the aim of gathering information regarding the origin of the migrants, as well as the reasons why they were at home.
As reported by media such as tv forumthe security institution implemented the operation thanks to several citizen complaints.
Minutes after the release of the migrants was achieved, Migration workers began the work of transferring them to their facilities, where the corresponding evaluations will continue.
