BUENOS AIRES (AP) — Arsenal snatched championship leader Atlético Tucumán’s undefeated record 3-1 on Saturday for the twelfth round of the Argentine soccer league. Meanwhile, Boca Juniors beat Platense 2-1.
Sebastián Lomónaco at 39, Gonzalo Goñi at 50 and Alexander Díaz at 90 scored the local goals. Matías Orihuela had temporarily tied for the Albicelestes in the discounts of the first part.
The Greater Buenos Aires team took the lead with pressure at the rival start. Lomónaco took advantage of the recovery of the ball and shot across to make it 1-0. This goal ended Bolivian goalkeeper Carlos Lampe’s streak of 727 minutes at the senior fence. He is the foreign goalkeeper with the longest time without receiving annotations in the history of the Argentine league.
The Albicelestes managed to equalize quickly with a second header in the area, by Orihuela.
In the second half, Goñi, also with a second header, again put the hosts ahead.
Bruno Bianchi (Atlético) saw the red card at 66.
Alexander Díaz sealed Arsenal’s victory with a touch after a rebound in the area.
Thus the streak of six consecutive victories of the dean team was cut and also its undefeated in the contest in 11 days. Atlético stayed at 25 points.
For its part, Boca beat Platense 2-1 at La Bombonera. The Paraguayan Óscar Romero scored the two xeneizes goals at 11 and 42. Nicolás Morgantini discounted for the brown team at 54.
The boquenses found the advantage with the goals of the international Romero. The first, with a spectacular direct free kick at an angle. The second, with a header after a cross from Sebastián Villa.

Alexander Medina’s team will visit Talleres on Wednesday for the quarterfinals of the Copa Libertadores. In the first leg in Buenos Aires, Vélez won 3-2.
The tatengues add 21 points and were four behind the leaders.
For its part, the T defeated Argentinos Juniors 2-0 with goals from Rodrigo Garro (minute 39) and José Romero (85).
On Friday, Gimnasia y Esgrima de La Plata defeated Godoy Cruz 2-0 with goals from Brahian Alemán and Nicolás Contín to add 24 points and stay one unit behind the leader. The Uruguayan Alemán is the top scorer for his team with four goals.

Independiente will receive River Plate this Sunday.
